Back in the day you were able to call someone without having to think about whether or not if the person on the other phone would pick up.
If you didn’t pick up then you would be left to ponder who just called you. You just had to sit and wait for them to either call you again or never know who called at all. This was a wall that would be over come with time and technology.
Soon, the caller id would be born.
Caller Identification is done by one phone company talking to another. The details from whoever is calling is then matched with a gigantic phone book which then tells your caller id who is calling.
This was snazzy for awhile and then came VOIP. Voice Over Internet Protocol. This technology allows for someone to call over the Internet using the same data transfer as a computer would but instead of tranfering videos etc…You are now sending your voice over the world wide web.
You are Wondering what does this have to do with Caller Identification?
It has a lot to do with it
Most people these days do not answer their phone when they do not know the number.
This is almost always due to the fact that person on the other end is glancing at the phone caller identification and making a fast decision on whether or not to pick up to your call.
But due to VOIP having the ability to fake your caller identification it then become a very big player in the faking of your caller identification.
This software gives you more of a chance to get someone to answer the phone by making it look like someone else is calling. So you can be anyone you want to be, even the God.
This advantage has it’s ups and downs and should not be misused.
